Phuket

Bar girls, bar girls, and more bar girls. Note: its such a hassle to upload here that I'm going to just go back and insert more pics later, but here's one. I arrived in Phuket with Josh and the two swedish guys, Johnny and Johan, from our snorkeling cruise were also going to Kata beach to stay. So we found a place together and ate together, and decided to go out together. WE had tons of difficulty finding a room, and fortunately this lady heard us complaining and invited us to stay in her apartments. Josh got her down to 1000 baht/2 person room, and these places were BY FAR the best I've been in!

So we decided to go to Patong beach, the notorious party beach. None of us felt like drinking much or going out, but really wanted to see what this place was like. It was amazing. You walk down the street and there are girls everywhere trying to get our attention. You go into these alleys that are some sort of intricate network of small bars lumped into one connected bar, each with 5-10 girls trying to seduce you into buying drinks at their bar. They would literally grab my arm (which hurt from the fight) and pull me into their bars! We caved a few times, especially at the bar that had 15 Thai girls in schoolgirl outfits and knee high boots. Actually, the most fun was playing connect-four and other bar games with the girls while we drank.

So rather than pay 300 baht to bring them with me to the club, the four of us just went to the club and tried to meet some real girls. We had no luck. Everytime we were convinced they weren't bar girls, we'd be disappointed. So we had a blast dancing to great music at the discoteque, then had some pizza, went home and crashed.

Josh and I headed to the airport after having lunch with our new swedish friends...and amazingly got yells from the girls in town even at noon. I don't understand why women complain, I think its great to get hit on constantly! Maybe it would get old after a while, but I think it would take about 50 years before I could get tired of it.

So we're off to Bangkok for my last night in Thailand. :(

The girls were only shouting at you because of your beautiful blue "mascara" or maybe the handsome swedish guys.

Me and Jonny are having an argument about the song you liked, he belives it was "Mylo vs Miami sound machine - Doctor pressure" but I think he is wrong.

Good luck with your new job and send me a mail before your next trip so we know where the entertainment is... ;o)
