1st morning in Bangkok

Well I"m a little jetlagged, but I woke up at 8:30 am this morning after sleeping for about 4 hours...fortunately I slept 4-5 hours on the flights over. Last night I got in and saw all kinds of crazy stuff, starting with a 65 year old white man escorting two girls that looked 15. This place is very different from anywhere I've been, but I do see similarities to everywhere from Switzerland to New Orleans to Tijuana! Bangkok is very dirty, however I walk down the road at 3 am and feel safer than anywhere I've ever been (at 3am that is). Having Scott around is so helpful because he speaks the language and is helping me learn it. The local girls love white guys and seem to flock to us, so I'm basically trying to learn Thai while talking to random girls at 4am haha. Gotta love that. Today is going to be full of some sightseeing and what-not all the live-long day, so hopefully my posts will get better every day. Headed to Chang Mai tomorrow and then to the islands by Saturday hopefully. Love it here already!
